lapindo hot mud disaster-tour Lapindo hot mud is such a tragedy for
Sidoarjo people as victims of this thing happened. A contraction of Lumpur Sidoarjo (lumpur is the Indonesian word for mud), is a mud volcano in the subdistrict of Porong, Sidoarjo that has been ongoing since May 2006. Approximately 2,500 m³ (88,000 cubic feet) of mud are expelled per day, which is equivalent to the contents of a dozen Olympic-size swimming pools. It appears that the flow will continue indefinitely. As of November 2008, the Sidoarjo mud flow is contained by levees, but further breakouts are possible. The East Java Basin contains a significant amount of oil and gas reserves and therefore the region is known as a major concession area for mineral exploration. The Porong subdistrict, 14 km south of Sidoarjo city, is known in the mineral industry as the Brantas Production Sharing Contract (PSC), an area of approximately 7,250 km² which consists of three oil and gas fields: Wunut, Carat and Tanggulangin. As of 2006, three companies — Santos (18%), MedcoEnergi (32%) and PT Lapindo Brantas (50%) — had concession rights for this area; PT Lapindo Brantas acted as an operator Mudflow that occurred is a result of an error in the PT Lapindo Brantas drilling. The mudflow had flooded thousands of homes of dozens of villages in Porong, Sidoarjo. Porong was previously a fertile and prosperous districts with many shops and markets, and then transformed into a city deserted and filled with sadness. The 8-year anniversary of this tragedy, many artists in Indonesia made an empathy project by putting the human statues on the mud which now has a solid texture which now has been fortified by the dike. pari templeCandi Pari (Pari Temple) is a temple which is located about 2 km to the northwest of the center of PT Lapindo Brantas mudflow today. This temple is located in the village of Candi Pari, Porong district, Sidoarjo regency, East Java Province. This temple is a rectangular building of brick, facing to the west with the threshold and the gates made by andesite natural stone.
In the past, above the gate there was a stone with the numbers in 1293 Saka = 1371 AD. It is a relic of Majapahit in the reign of King Hayam Wuruk 1350-1389 AD In fact, the temple was built around 1371 in the era of King Hayam Wuruk (Majapahit) by looking up the temple, this is able to give a picture of how the complexity of economic issues, political, cultural, and social aspects of the other at that time. |

Since 1974 until 2001 museum under the Culture Directorate General is UPT (Technical Executor Unit) and since area autonomy became East Java UPTD. Since 14 Mays 2004, Mpu Tantular Museum is moved again to Buduran Roadway, Sidoarjo of the first address in intersection in Diponegoro Street and Darmo Roadway Surabaya. |

Some of them who still survive are only work for orders.

If we are going down further into the village, we will find more home industrial. Basically, the villagers are live as leather craftsman, then they opened a small shop to market their products that can easily be visited by prospective buyers. Today, Tanggulangin leather industry is still exist to show their capability to produce more and more products to their consumers that give trust to them.
